Omayra Amaya Flamenco Dance Workshop
August 16-18 and 20-21, 2015

Omayra Amaya's legacy is one of a deep and proud gypsy flamenco tradition. Omayra is the daughter of flamenco dancers Olga and Curro Amaya and grandniece of the greatest Flamenco dancer who ever lived, Carmen Amaya. Omayra Amaya Flamenco Dance Company is currently based in New York City. Omayra cherishes her legacy and continues to push the boundaries of flamenco by creating a unique repertoire.

Classes will be held on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, for a total of 5 classes per level. Each class is 1.5 hours. See the full schedule below.

Registration at Class

You may register at class. There will be space for drop-in students. At class, payment is accepted in cash only please.

Schedule

There will be two workshops: technique (all levels), and choreography (intermediate level).

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday Aug 16, 17, 18, 20, 21
Technique 6-7:30 pm
Choreography 7:30-9 pm
(No class Wed. Aug 19 but there will be rehearsal time for class participants from 5:45-7pm.)

Single Class: $40
Technique Workshop (5 classes): $180
Choreography Workshop (5 classes): $180
Both workshops (Technique and Choreography): $340
